Process Technology is looking for a CNC programmer for temporary employment assignment. As the CNC programmer you will program Wardjet waterjet with Wardcam software, ACE turning center with Fanuc IT control, Okuma Mill Turn with Y-Axis and sub-spindle, Cleveland CNC Mill with Intercon (conversational) control & Haas VF4 vertical mill.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a CNC Programmer:

  • Reviews 2D & 3D CAD designs.
  • Makes calculations for programming.
  • Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
  • Communicates with engineers and machine operators who will use the programs.
  • Checks completed programs by running simulations or prove-out.
  • Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software.
  • Determines sequence of operations in a program.
  • Chooses cutting tools that will be needed.
  • Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
  • Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 2D CAD skills required.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Knowledge of machine shop work.
  • Good math skills.
  • Must have good problem solving skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be highly detail oriented.
  • Must have the ability to read blueprints.
Education and Experience:
