Products Finishing Magazine has announced its annual 40-under-40 class of 2021, and Process Technology is proud to see our very own Mechanical Engineering Manager, Tim Jancigar on the list. Tim will be featured in the May 2021 edition.
A creative thinker with a discerning eye, Tim Jancigar has put his fingerprint on the design and engineering of almost every heater made by Process Technology today. And his impact goes beyond day-to-day engineering contributions. Having earned the reputation of being the team’s “go-to” person for overall product and application knowledge, Tim’s passion for engineering has led to many Process Technology innovations. Tim took welding classes to learn how metals react to each other and introduced back purging techniques to reduce field failures. He developed a new sealing method for HX heaters and is vital to the continuous upgrade of Process Technology heaters. Additionally, Tim took the initiative to author the Process Technology Product Configurator, streamlining the customer order entry experience.
Starting as an hourly assembly worker in the Process Technology HX department in 2003, Tim quickly stood out as smart and a natural problem-solver. Motivated to improve his overall knowledge and future career opportunities, Tim took advantage of the company tuition reimbursement program while working full-time and attending classes at night. In 2011, Tim earned his undergraduate degree in engineering from Cleveland State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Since obtaining his degree, Tim has advanced to his current leadership role of Mechanical Engineering Manager at Process Technology.
