Job Description:

Process Technology, a leader in the design, innovation, and manufacturing of heating equipment, is looking for a Controller to manage the accounting team, the expense process, and act as a key contributor to month-end preparations. Join the team that makes difficult processes thermally possible!
,br> Basic Function: Accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. Responsible for cash management and risk management

Principal Accountabilities:

Management

  • Maintains and enforces a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
  • Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures

Transactions

  • Ensure Accounts payable and Accounts receivable are processed in a timely manner. Maintain the chart of accounts. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions

Reporting

  • Issue timely and complete financial statements
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  • Provide for a system of management cost reports
  • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations

Compliance

  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Desired Qualifications

The controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.

Process Technology, a leader in the design, innovation, and manufacturing of heating equipment, is looking for a highly motivated Senior Programmer to manage the design, administration and maintenance of the ERP system, network, and network infrastructure. 30% of the time:

  • Manage work teams responsible for ensuring the quality and operation of computer systems, software, telecommunications, networks and computer systems.
  • Identify, recommend, and prioritize new features and applications in conjunction with business leaders and department managers
  • Train and develop new TMs

70% of the time:
  • Implement, maintain, and customize Syteline ERP to exceed minimum business requirements
  • Program within an SQL environment (creating views, triggers, stored procedures), as well as using SQL-based queries from within programming languages
  • Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document backend software applications using appropriate editors
  • Perform network and security audits and tests
  • Perform and test routine system backups and restores
  • Define software application architecture and overall structure

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Accountant position is part of the Accounting Team. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):

  • Streamline and improve accounting processes
  • Support or manage core financial processes including, but not limited to, monthly close, GL reconciliation, etc.
  • Reconcile credit card statements, bank reports, and other reports from outside sources and make the appropriate journal entries
  • Review underlying reports for accuracy and reasonableness and associated journal entries.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as necessary or requested. This involves work in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
  • Understand and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyze current and past spending trends to identify potential adjusting entries, and to make recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist with the capital expenditure process.
  • Prepare and file Sales and Use tax returns.
  • Seek to optimize and automate processes.
  • Work with the CPA firm to prepare schedules and analysis as part of the Review process.
  • Maintain and exhibit confidentiality of all sensitive information and material.

  1. Develop Strategic Sourcing Process
    • Generate and implement category management strategies.
    • Estimated historic costs and potential savings based on identified opportunities, expected by category.
    • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
  2. Implement Strategic Sourcing Opportunities
    • Meet or exceed established performance goals for category savings with requirements for quality, performance and service.
    • Identify and cultivate new supplier relationships and complete strategic and tactical negotiations with selected product suppliers.

Experience:

  • 5 or more years of experience as a sourcing or procurement manager running a procurement process.
  • Understanding of market dynamics.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical ability, must have a strong command of fundamental analytical techniques, and the ability to accurately draw conclusions and interpret data.
  • Demonstrated contract negotiation experience across a range of services and commodities.
  • Experience with interpreting and drafting contractual terms.
  • Experience with developing and implementing successful cost saving initiatives.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong problem solving skills, understanding of cost drivers and sound business judgement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering Supply chain, business administration or similar, MBA a plus in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field.
  • Experience in sourcing goods and services in a manufacturing, technical and engineering environment preferred.
