Job Description:
Process Technology, a leader in the design, innovation, and manufacturing of heating equipment, is looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer to design & build automation machines & controls for manufacturing. This is an opportunity to develop, assess, and document the design of electrical components and sub-components, emphasizing deep manufacturing solutions to support current and future product needs. Location: Mentor, OH
Position reports to; Department Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and update designs, drawings, BOMs, and related documentation for engineering, manufacturing of custom production equipment.
  • Design, develop, manufacture and test electrical programs and panels.
  • Draft detailed schematics and panel layout drawings for fabrication.
  • Interface and program PLC/HMI (Automation Direct, Allen Bradley, Omron) including design of schematics and electrical cabinets.
  • Work within MRP system to manage and maintain engineering information.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related engineering role.
  • Proficient with PLC, ladder logic.
  • Proficient in Automation Direct, Allen Bradley, and Omron preferred.
  • Motor drives experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of NEC and other code requirements.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturer of goods.
  • Proactive, high energy individual, able to adapt to change.
  • Detail oriented with high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with and communicate with all levels of the Company.

Job Description
First-shift opportunity to join a local, fast-growing manufacturer. Candidates must be reliable and have solid TIG welding experience. Responsible to perform welds to fabricate metals in an efficient and clean manner. Perform related tasks such as cutting and grinding of material.

Location: Mentor
Position reports to: Production Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Weld components and material to standard and custom specifications.
  • Produce strong welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
  • Evaluate blueprints, sketches, and related specifications to calculate dimensions independently and accurately.
  • Ignite torches and operate power supplies safely and effectively.
  • Test and inspect product and material to ensure specifications are met.
  • Follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of welding experience.
  • Certified by an accredited welding school to perform all variations of welding; or, a minimum of three additional years of experience.
  • Ability to work independently to produce quality, accurate welds and test welds.
  • Strong math and analytic abilities.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly is required.

Working Conditions/Environment

  • Work in both temperature and non-temperature controlled environments.
  • 8-10 hour workdays; primarily welding in regular and irregular positions.

The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machine.

Location: Mentor, OH
Position reports to: Department Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets blueprints and/or drawings.
  • Performs program edits and/or changes as required.
  • Accurately measure parts per blueprint.
  • Maintains quality inspection of parts, equipment and supplies.
  • Performs CNC Lathe setup independently and makes quality parts.
  • Performs self- inspection of parts using measuring instruments and gages.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance – Consistently arrives to work and is on time.
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying. Takes time to understand the points being made and asks questions as appropriate.
  • Time Management - Uses time effectively and efficiently. Manages time well so that attention can be applied to different activities during the day, ranging from the simplest to the most complex.
  • Safety Focus – Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards and practices. Performs work in a safe manner at all times. Checks for and reports potential hazards while in the workplace. Responds positively to safety-oriented feedback.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years experience with set-up and operation of CNC Lathes; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial bores).
  • Must understand G&M codes and be able to edit programs to make adjustments as required.
  • Personal tools a plus.

  • Review and retrieve required inventory parts on schematics, drawings or work instructions.
  • Perform simple to complex assembly operations.
  • Test and inspect product to ensure specifications are met.
  • Report any deficiency to the Department Lead.
  • Follow department processes to ensure ISO compliance.
  • Possess some electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to use small hand tools including but not limited to cutters, strippers, crimpers and screwdrivers.
  • Ability to use basic judgment in quality analysis and communicate with Department Lead any discrepancies.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve workplace environment and safety conditions.
  • Maintain clean, neat, safe and orderly work area.
  • Attend work regularly and promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Attend and participate in all required training.
  • Attend and participate in all departmental meetings.

Qualifications / Competencies

  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • The ability to arrange items or actions in a certain order/pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
  • Follows safety policies and procedures, including personal protective equipment, reports potential hazards and near messes, maintains a neat and orderly work area, and proactively seeks opportunities to improve workplace environment, health, and/or safety conditions.
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds.
