The European Union Directive 1907/2006 the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH) came into effect on June 1, 2007. Process Technology is well aware of the substances restrictions set forth by REACH and has been working with our suppliers to ensure that we meet customer requirements for REACH compliance.
Our compliance department is constantly working to maintain a database of REACH compliant parts. We have determined that the products Process Technology exports to the European Union are articles. Therefore, registration is not required. Process Technology will continue to monitor changes to the REACH Directive and react accordingly.
Currently, a large majority of Process Technology products do not contain any of the Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) above the substance restrictions published by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) website available at http://echa.europa.eu/web/guest/ candidate-list-table.
Please be aware that the only way we can certify a part’s REACH compliance is by evaluating the content of finished parts.
