May 2, 2024 You can shorten the heat up time of a process tank by using the power save setting in the DQ15D controller. This setting allows a heated process tank to be maintained at a lower operating temperature during non-production hours. This prevents the tank from cooling down to ambient and will shorten the time needed to return to operating temperature.
Example: A soak cleaning tank has an operating temperature of 180°F. The power save setting can be adjusted to allow the bath to maintain 135°F over the weekend. On Monday morning the time to reach 180°F will be shorter than if the tank was starting at ambient.
The power save mode can be activated through pressing the keys on the front of the controller or by wiring a remote switch to terminals on the back of the unit. The controller display will alternate between the current bath temperature and “---" when in power save mode.
